Just One More Thing!

I admit it. I am an avid Columbo fan. Maybe junkie is a better word for it because if Columbo is on TV, I’m watching it even though I’ve seen every episode many, many times. But it’s easy to forget how many films and theatrical performances Peter Falk has been in. Films like: It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad World, The Princess Bride, Murder by Death, The In-Laws, Roomates, and many more. It was while working in Hartford for the Connecticut State Budget Bureau that Falk decided to quit his job, move to New York City, and focus on being an actor. His wild adventures, passion for life, and enduring sense of humor leap from the pages of his autobiography Just One More Thing. I highly recommend it. Each chapter is 2 to 6 pages. Read it while you’re waiting in line. Read it before bed. Read it during the commercials when Columbo is on TV.

There is one Columbo that is not like the others. The guy who plays Pauly in the Rocky films was in it, and it’s one of the later Columbo’s. Anyway, Columbo kicks in doors and carries a gun, and does things that he would never do. It put me off watching Columbo, for a while; as it was so not his character.
